A Hemingway Gathering 2008 is already being planned by a small team. The date and the venue are already decided and the team will be releasing more information over the coming months.

| Friday | Welcome and informal introductions. |
| Saturday | We are hoping that this year we will have more day visitors who may need information on their own family histories from our extensive records. The combined records of Ron & Maurice will be available throughout the day for family tree research. There are over 9,000 baptisms, 4,500 marriages, 6,000 burials, 1,250 monumental inscriptions, 17,000 BM&D index entries, 1,000 calendar entries for probate, 250 pre-1857 Wills and a plethora of other information to look-up. During Saturday there will be a programme including :
Lunch will be taken at the Weatherspoons Pub that was built by as a bank by Maj. Edmund Hemingway. It is hoped to include a short tour of the pub. During the afternoon guides are on hand to take groups of guests to local sites including the National Coal Mining museum and also to the Yorkshire Sculpture Park & Galleries Dinner will be at the event centre (Holiday Inn, Ossett) followed by an after dinner speaker (Joseph Hemingway, Master Wood carver). |
| Sunday | Morning : Joint service at Wakefield Cathedral
Lunch will be at the Spencer Arms, Cawthorne at 13.15. We will be dining in a private room and have been requested to pre-order main courses a week in advance.
