Elizabeth HEMINGWAY of Cawthorne

 

This is the last Will and Testament of me Elizabeth Hemingway of Cawthorne in the County of York Spinster, First I will and direct that all my final Debts Funeral and Testamentary Expences shall be duly paid and satisfied by my Executrices hereinafter named and subject thereto I give and bequeath unto my nieces Elizabeth and Mary Ann the Daughters of my brother William Hemingway in equal shares and proportions All and every my Personal Estate and Effects whatsoever and wheresoever and I do hereby appoint them my said Nieces joint Executrices of this my Will and revoke all former Wills by me heretofore made and declare this to be my last Will and Testament. In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my Hand this seventeenth Day of May in the Year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty one.

IN THE EXCHEQUER COURT OF YORK

Elizabeth Hemingway of Cawthorne in the Parish of Silkstone, in the County of York, Spinster, in order to the due Administration of the Personal Estate and Effects of Elizabeth Hemingway late of Cawthorne aforesaid Spinster who died on the eighteenth day of May 1821and maketh oath and saith that she has made diligent search and due enquiry after and in respect of the Personal Estate and Effects of the said Deceased, in order to ascertain the full amount and value thereof; and to the best of her knowledge, information and belief, the whole of the Goods, Chattels and Credits of which the said Deceased died possessed, within the Diocese of York (exclusive of what the Deceased may have been possessed of or entitled to as a Trustee for any other Person or Persons and not beneficially but including the Leasehold Estates of the Deceased, if any, whether absolute or determinable on lives, and without deducting anything on account of the Debts due and owing from the deceased,) are under the Value of Twenty Pounds

 

And this Deponent further saith that the said Deceased had no Personal Estate and Effects at the time of her decease, within the Province of Canterbury, to which she, the said Deponent need to administer.

I do hereby certify that on the seventh day of November in the Year of our Lord 1821. Elizabeth Hemingway of Cawthorne in the County of York, Spinster, the Niece and one of the Executrices named in the last Will and Testament of Elizabeth Hemingway late of Cawthorne aforesaid in the Diocese of York, Spinster, deceased, was sworn well and truly to execute and perform the same, and that the whole of the Goods and Chattels and Credits of the said deceased within the Diocese of York do not amount in Value to the Sum of Twenty Pounds.

Mary Hemingway of Cawthorne in the Parish of Silkstone, in the County of York, Widow in order to the due Administration of the Personal Estate and Effects of John Hemingway late of Cawthorne aforesaid Joiner who died on the fourth day of February 1854 Intestate, maketh oath and saith that she has made diligent search and due enquiry after and in respect of the Personal Estate and Effects of the said Deceased, in order to ascertain the full amount and value thereof; and to the best of her knowledge, information and belief, the whole of the Goods, Chattels and Credits of which the said Deceased died possessed, within the Diocese of York (exclusive of what the Deceased may have been possessed of or entitled to as a Trustee for any other Person or Persons and not benefically but including the Leasehold Estates of the Deceased, if any, whether absolute or determinable on lives, and without deducting anything on account of the Debts due and owing from the deceased,) are under the Value of Twenty Pounds
