July 1615 administration of the goods of Richard Hemingway, late of Southowram,
deceased, was granted to Anthony Hemingway, Anthony Ellistones and George
Bamforth. An inventory above £40 was exhibited."
Richard was buried 23 Feb 1614/15.
Observations by Cecily Sterry, “Anthony was bapt 21 Nov 1574
to Richard Hemingway of Southowram in Halifax. Richard married Annes Gye
(bur 24 Feb 1578/79) on 27 Jan 1555/56. Anthony was their youngest?
child, the eldest being Richard who was bapt 23 Sept 1557. The Admon was
of Richard born bef 1538, Anthony's father, for his brother Richard bapt 1557
died in 1584. Richard (the senior) was alive at time of his brother
John's death in 1587 and was mentioned in his Will."
