The Last Will and Testament of John Hemingway of Dronfield

 

This is the last Will & Testament of me John Hemingway of Dronfield in the county of Derby.  First I will and direct that all my just Debts and Funeral Expenses and the charges of proving this my last Will & Testament be paid and discharged by my Executrix hereinafter named.  I give to my son John Rogers Hemingway the Sum of one Guinea, also to my daughter, Jane, the Sum of one Guinea, also to my daughter Ann Lupton the Sum of one Guinea, also to my daughter Charlotte, the Sum of one Guinea.  After the payment of my Debts & Funeral expenses, the charges of proving this my last Will & Testament and the payment of the Legacies above mentioned I do give and bequeath all the rest residue and remainder of my estate personal and real to my dear wife, Jane Hemingway who I do hereby nominate, constitute and appoint sole Executrix of this my last Will & Testament.  And lastly I do hereby revoke, cancel and annul all former and other wills by me at any time heretofore made and declare this only to be my last Will & Testament.  In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this twenty third day of June one thousand, eight hundred and eleven

Let Probate be granted to Jane Hemingway of Chesterfield widow the sole Executrix.  She being first duly sworn as also that the personal estate does not amount to £200
