In the Name of God Amen. Accordinge to the Verified Computation of the Church of England One Thousand Six hundred Fifty and Seven. Believing that Nothing is more certaine than Death and nothinge more certaine than the houre thereof  therefore I Michaell Hemingway of Claiton Sicke of body but of sound and Disposing memory Doo make and ordaine this my last will and Testament in manner and forme followinge; First and primarily I [ ] and Commend into the hands of Almighty God  my Creator my Soule assuredly trusteing [ ] and faithfully believing by the [ ] Death and blessed ascending of my one Blessed Saviour and Redeemer Jesus Christ the second person on Trinity To have full and free forgiveness of all my Sinnes and everlastinge life amongst the blessed Saints of God in the Kingdom of Heaven. And my bodie I commit to the Earth from whence the same did originally come And the same to be buryed in Christian buryall; Now as touching my temperall goods my will and minde is to dispose of them as followeth, And first my will and minde is That all my true and Lawfull Debts and Funerall expenses be paid and Discharged out of any whole goods; Item my will and minde is that Martha my wife shall have the whole benefitt of all my lands so longe as she shall live if she shall keepe unmarryed and continue my wife. And if itt shall fortune that she shall marry again Then to have her Lawfull third part according [ ] hath provided. Item my will and minde is that Michaell Hemingway my oldest sonne shall have the house and two Closes called Spouting and Houghfeilde. Item I give unto Daniell Hemingway my Sonne one house wherein Hugh Milner now Dwelleth; And two feildes called Abraham Ing and the Croft on the Eastside of Michaell house and one Stable on the East end of Michaell house Item I give unto Edward Hemingway one house wherein one Abraham Pater now Dwelleth and two feildes called [ ] Item my will and minde is that Michaell Hemingway my sonne shall pay forty pounds and Daniell Hemingway my sonne shall pay the sume of Twentie pounds within three years after they shall enter into the said houses and lands equally And the said sumes of Threescore pounds to be att the disposing of Martha my wife when it shall please God to call her And to dispose it amongst my Five Daughters or so many of them as shall then be alive: Item all the rest of my goods I give unto Martha my wife And I ordaine and make Martha my wife Executrix of this my last will and Testament  In witness whereof I have here unto sett my hand and seale this nynteenth day of July in the year above expressed. Also I appoint [ ] Hemingway and John Cooper [ ] of this my last will and Testament.
